Too often Home owners get sucked into the glam of what's trending. It's enticing, I get it... when the fad fades are you still going to be in love with your choices? A rule of thumb is to #Remodel and #Build for the future of your family. Make it a space all of you can grow into. Whether you have kids, empty-nesters, or single and ready to mingle; your home is your palace and we never truly stop growing. Sticking Around? Choosing elements to enhance your home is personal. If you know your home is going to remain yours for years to come then install the unique item you know you can't live without. The home is a place to find joy and comfort and only you can really decide if what you're hoping to accomplish in your remodel is worth the process and cost. #WineCellars, #HomeGyms, #HomeTheatres, whatever your fancy build it knowing you'll use it and your family will love it for years to come. Most #Designers know how to steer you toward a good decision. If you find yourself only dealing with 'Yes men (or woman)', you may want to look else where. Allow your designer to embrace your vision and help you achieve something incredible and make it look dang good too!
Are you a Nomad? Obviously the inverse is true as well. If you are remodeling for a flip or you know your time in the #home is limited, you should stay away from doing anything too personal. Your mom's old recipe may look awesome embedded in your backsplash, but it's not easy to take with you when your time in the home is over... and it may not be something a potential home-buyer wants to have to remove when you're gone. Your Designer should guide you to making a more 'neutral' decision when it comes to your materials and your layout. After all you'll if you plan on selling anytime in the next five years, you'll want your home to appeal to as many #HomeBuyers as possible.
If you just aren't sure what to do, trust in a process that involves #3Drendering. It's the best and sometimes only way to see what you're getting into. You can easily add your mom's recipe to that new Kitchen backsplash and suddenly realize the home you're #renovating can actually be your #ForeverHome. Either way; design, build, and remodel with your families needs in mind. It's the one thing you shouldn't have to regret.
